Good Afternoon from Florida

Yesterday we all had the day off. We slept late, went to the Waffle House and then to Kmart. Then most of us slugged out in our rooms enjoying the rare day off. We began packing all our stuff up on the bus. Your seat really become like a home. People have curtains, rugs, blankets, sheets, pillows, pictures, cup holders, drawings, flowers, extension cords, stuff animals, books and organizers. It is amazing what everyone can accumulate so quickly to make a small space your very own. We are getting a new bus when we return so we had to buy some tubs to pack all this stuff in and leave on the truck until we return from the break.

After being lazy all afternoon, we went with John, Missy and the kids to dinner at a place called "Two Guys." The Banana Pudding was good and we gave John some toys for his birthday to keep him young. I think he liked the "Parchute Soldiers" better than the "High School Musical headphones" but I can't be sure. After dinner the kids engaged Rhiannon, Melissa and Dave in a mean game of Uno. I think everyone tried to cheat but Rhiannon and Dave. The kids really had to keep their eye on Melissa and busted her with several cards tucked into the couch. The game was never ending so we had to finally call it quits so we can go back to our rooms and pack up.

Now get ready for another gross story from the road. After packing, Mikey and I were reading our books in bed when he stood up screaming on the bed. (In High Soprano) The biggest, blackest, thick legged, spider we ever seen decided to walk across his bedspread and say hello to us while he was reading in bed. I guess the Spider was saying good-bye and wanted us to remember our time in Tennessee. Either that or he was trying to make Mikey the new Spider Man! I had the wonderful job of killing this Spider. I knew if I did not kill it, I would not be able to sleep all night. Unfortunately, once you see a spider on your bed, you don't sleep anyway and when you do you are fighting spiders in your sleep.
Anyway, everyone is really excited about flying to their homes tomorrow for ten days. The kids are doing school on the bus right now on the way to Tallahassee, Fl. The tutor has given them all assignments to do during the break to keep them up with their school work. We have a show tonight and then the theater is throwing a small reception for the cast. We have a 430am bus call to the airport but who cares....we are going home! Mikey has a long list of things he wants to do when he gets home: Go to Blockbuster and rent two movies. Make Popcorn. Go on a bike ride with Dad. Play with Maria. Visit all his cousins. See all his friends. P--P in his own house. Go to the Movies. Sleep without spiders. Etc... That is it for now.....
